Breeding conditions:

Numbers of Capelin Mallotus sp. continued to decrease in 2004 in the Barents Sea, and fish approached coast in low numbers. Numbers of Kittiwakes nesting within the Murmansk fishing harbor increased, and they utilized all hard-to-reach for humans localities, also on ships on riding. Nesting was successful in these conditions.
